About the Owner & Director

Dr. Chanel Shanae Green (Ed.D, MA, BA, CPFT, SFC) is the Artistic Director of Shanae Arts, a business that equips people in ministry, dance technique & dance ministry, fitness, wellness, art activism, and leadership. Shanae Arts is the home of Shanae Arts Ministry Dance Company. Chanel has 20+ years of professional dance experience. Her dance training began as a child as she learned modern dance from her mother. She then began dancing at church where she grew in ballet, modern, and dance ministry. Next, she began dancing with Art In Motion Dance Company (AIM) under the leadership of Cyd Glover-Hill. AIM is where she continued to grow a strong foundation in ballet, modern (Graham), jazz, tap, African,  and dance ministry. In her undergraduate years she studied dance at CSU Fullerton with an emphasis in ballet, jazz, and modern (Graham, Horton, and Limon). During graduate school, she danced at CSU Dominguez Hills. Her dance training continues with Master level training in various technical forms. Because of her passion and purpose in dance, she continued her education by earning her Doctorate Degree where she included dance in her research. She is an expert in applying dance, dramaturgy, and the arts to leadership. She is an instructor (Dance, Sociology, & Women's Studies) and choreographer for community organizations and provides artistic direction to dance ministries. Chanel's background spans the fields of dance, sociology, social services, education, and leadership. She is also a certified personal fitness trainer and stretch & flexibility Coach , leadership coach, team building facilitator, an author and a speaker.
